Editing our video day 2
I had some photos to share on the post but unfortunately my phone was dropped and so now my phone is broken and we have no photos to show how our day went. BUT today went great we managed to finish and although im not completely happy as the lighting we couldn't fix as much as i would of liked the video as a whole has come together.
The dream scenes have turned out better than i had anticipated and we have the macs editing skills to thank for that as the effects on the dream scenes are pretty cool. Will post the finished product up shortly

Editting our video day 1
Yes we are editing today! and it went quite well despite our disappointment on how bad the lighting in the clips looks. It has a really yellow tinge to it and we have tried and tried to edit it today but its incredibly difficult to us the macs. Hopefully we can try some more when we next go to the editing place.
Our finished Poster and Cd Cover
The sleeve for the cd. As you can see the Anna Taintor inpired collage is the inside of the booklet where the CD would pop on top.
50s sides body structure is strong showing more confidence; her head is held high.
This contrasts dramatically with the slant of the modern women's
head, its subtle but it shows her distaste for her life
This pictures shows the 50s character breathing deep
Its a tranquil shot and i think it brings out the dream state brilliantly.
On the flip side is her reality and she's ironically wishing on a dandelion.
We purposely made the 50s character look like she was breathing in,
she's absorbing life and the modern woman to look puffed out and tired.
I know the red in the second imagery is quite hard to read. However, i quite like it, it makes the page uneasy and difficult which mirrors the characters emotions.
All our filming is DONE!

We are editing the video on macs using imovie which we used last year for the thriller although we did have some problems with that program last year. We will just have to see how it goes in the editing process.

Last few shots to film
We have the last few shots that we need
these involve the singing scene. We've already tried this out with our first actress and it was a nice affect so im excited to film it again. What it involves is us putting a black quilt in the background turning the lights off and have just the torchlight on the actresses face giving it a 50s stage feel. We also just need to film little shots like the bathroom scenes and the suitcase scenes which basically is the actress being helped by the actor carry the suitcase up the stairs in the 50s dream scenes.

Next filming day
Apart from kezia tripping up and nearly seriously damaging herself the shoot today went well. We filmed the argument scenes which was quite funny as the actors were improvising an arguement. Im sure some will appear on the bloopers later on when we edit them. We also filmed some shots of kezia outside singing but we dont think we will use these as it hasnt got a strong connection to the 50s theme or the modern theme.

On our story board theres a scene in the bedroom
now we are filming in kezias house kezia only has a bunkbed so we have scrapped the bed scene and just planned to film the couple separably coming out of the bedroom as apposed to seeing them wake up together. This would make them more detached from each other and it would add more isolation to the female characters situation.

We've found our replacement actors
We have found another actress and actor
She even has a 50s dress she can use, its red with white polka dots so that is good.
Now she is learning the words wilst we are re-planing the shoot for her house :)

We have been collecting various things that we can use in my house to make it look 50s .We have found random things such as a 50s looking jam jar, various dish clothes that have floral 50s patterns on, an black checkered apron like the one here amongst various other random things like a retro suitcase nd a modern suitcase.

Our orignal actors cant make the filming days to finish filming
Our actors we have been using have now been unable to shoot the final shots as they cant make our filming days
This has lead us to make some serious changes in our plans and we need to find other actors asap as this means we need to re shoot everything again with new actors AND take the photos again.

Just a few ideas for the look of our poster and CD cover. Here you can see we have used Anne Taintors imagery in our poster
we hope to do our own versions of these pictures to truly personify that 50s image that Anne Taintor captures so well.
